AN ACT MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF SPECIAL FUNDS TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES OF THE VETERANS AFFAIRS BOARD FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any money in the special fund in the State Treasury to the credit of the Veterans Affairs Board which is comprised of special source funds collected by or otherwise available to the board, for the support and maintenance of said board for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2019, and ending June 30, 2020............................$ 5,000,000.00.
This additional appropriation is made to the Veterans Affairs Board to defray the expenses for preparedness and response to COVID-19.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
