AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF WASHINGTON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO ENTER INTO A LONG-TERM LEASE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF A YOUTH SPORTS COMPLEX ON REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY WASHINGTON COUNTY AT THE WASHINGTON COUNTY CONVENTION CENTER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Washington County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to enter into a long-term lease agreement for a term of not less than twenty-five (25) years for the establishment, operation and maintenance of a youth sports complex on real property owned by Washington County at the Washington County Convention Center. The lease agreement shall be awarded in the same manner as other leases of real property owned by the county.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
