AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF SUNFLOWER COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO ISSUE AND SELL GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF THE COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF ASSISTING THE B.B. KING MUSEUM AND DELTA INTERPRETIVE CENTER IN FUNDING THE COMPLETION OF THE MUSEUM COMPLEX, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,000,000.00; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Sunflower County, Mississippi, is authorized to issue and sell general obligation bonds of the county for the purpose of assisting the B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center in funding the completion of the museum complex, including, but not limited to, completion of connection of the existing buildings and a memorial garden as the final resting place of B.B. King, in an amount not to exceed One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00).

     SECTION 2.  The bonds authorized to be issued under this act shall be issued and the proceeds managed in accordance with the provisions of Section 19-9-1 et seq., Mississippi Code of 1972, and sold in accordance with the provisions of Section 31-19-25.

     SECTION 3.  This act, without reference to any other statute not referred to in this act, shall be deemed to be full and complete authority for the borrowing of money and the issuing of bonds as authorized by the board of supervisors and shall be construed as an additional and alternate method therefor.

     SECTION 4.  Any bonds issued under the provisions of this act shall be validated in the manner provided by law.

     SECTION 5.  The board of supervisors is authorized and empowered to adopt any and all lawful resolutions, orders or ordinances and do and perform any and all acts and things necessary and requisite to carry out the purposes of this act.

     SECTION 6.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
