AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO WILLIE MCABEE OF BOLIVAR COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Willie McAbee of Bolivar County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction of uttering forgery and conspiracy in Bolivar County, Mississippi, in 2007, to serve one (1) year of house arrest followed by four (4) years on probation for each count.  He completed the house arrest program on December 17, 2008, and was discharged from probation on December 4, 2012.  The Legislature has been reliably informed that he is now conducting himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
