Senate Bill 2814

AN ACT TO CREATE NEW SECTION 37-3-109, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REQUIRE THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO DISSEMINATE INFORMATION TO SCHOOL DISTRICTS, TEACHERS, STUDENTS AND PARENTS ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT'S 24/7 ONLINE TUTORING PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The following shall be codified as Section 37-3-109, Mississippi Code of 1972:

     37-3-109.  (1)  The Department of Education shall disseminate information to school districts, teachers, students and parents about the department's 24/7 Online Tutoring Program and any other resources related to student success.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2023.
