AN ACT TO REQUIRE THAT WOOD INFESTATION REPORTS REQUIRED OF RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE CLOSINGS TO BE COMPLETED BY AN INDEPENDENT INSPECTOR FROM AN INSPECTION COMPANY SOLELY ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS OF PEST CONTROL AND INSPECTIONS THAT IS LICENSED, BONDED, INSURED AND IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE BUREAU OF PLANT INDUSTRY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The wood infestation reports required of residential and commercial real estate closings shall be completed by an independent termite inspector from an inspection company solely engaged in the business of pest control and inspections, that is licensed, bonded, insured and in good standing with the Bureau of Plant Industry.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2015, and shall stand repealed on June 30, 2015.
