AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A CERTAIN SEGMENT OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 11 WITHIN JONES COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, AS THE "JEFFERSON 'CARL' MONK, JR. MEMORIAL HIGHWAY"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) That segment of Mississippi Highway 11 within Jones County, Mississippi, beginning at the intersection of Mississippi Highway 11 North and Magnolia/Eratta Road and extending to its intersection at the Jones/Jasper County line shall be known and designated as "Jefferson 'Carl' Monk, Jr. Memorial Highway."

(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching the highway.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2011.
