Senate Bill 2740

AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTIONS 11-62-1, 11-62-3, 11-62-5, 11-62-7, 11-62-9, 11-62-11, 11-62-13, 11-62-15, 11-62-17 AND 11-62-19, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH ARE THE "PROTECTING FREEDOM OF CONSCIENCE FROM GOVERNMENT DISCRIMINATION ACT" AND WHICH DEFINE CERTAIN PROTECTED BELIEFS AND GOVERNMENTAL DISCRIMINATORY ACTION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Sections 11-62-1, 11-62-3, 11-62-5, 11-62-7, 11-62-9, 11-62-11, 11-62-13, 11-62-15, 11-62-17 and 11-62-19, Mississippi Code of 1972, which are the "Protecting Freedom of Conscience from Government Discrimination Act" and which define certain protected beliefs and governmental discriminatory action, are hereby repealed.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
