AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES TO FULLY FUND CHILD CARE AND DEVELOPMENT FUND (CCDF) STATE MATCHING REQUIREMENTS EACH FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR TO MAXIMIZE AND DRAW DOWN THE TOTAL AVAILABLE AMOUNT OF FEDERAL CCDF MATCHING FUNDS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) or any other designated Lead Agency (LA) within the state administering the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) shall fully fund CCDF state matching requirements each federal fiscal year to maximize and draw down the total available amount of federal CCDF matching funds.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2019.
