Senate Bill 2690

AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 23-15-15, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH REQUIRES NATURALIZED CITIZENS TO PRESENT CERTAIN DOCUMENTATION WHEN REGISTERING TO VOTE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Section 23-15-15, Mississippi Code of 1972, which requires naturalized citizens to present certain documentation when registering to vote, is hereby repealed.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2020.
