AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 60, CHAPTER 572, LAWS OF 2004, WHICH ESTABLISHES A REPEAL DATE ON THOSE STATUTES THAT ESTABLISH AND PRESCRIBE THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE MISSISSIPPI WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD AND TRANSFERS THE MISSISSIPPI EMPLOYMENT SECURITY COMMISSION TO THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT SECURITY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Section 60, Chapter 572, Laws of 2004, which establishes a July 1, 2010, repeal date on those statutes that establish and prescribe the membership of the Mississippi Workforce Investment Board and transfers the Mississippi Employment Security Commission to the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, is repealed.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2010.
