Senate Bill 2432
AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT IT IS LAWFUL FOR DISABLED PERSONS WHO ARE IN POSSESSION OF SPECIAL LICENSE PLATES OR TAGS, OR WINDSHIELD PLACARDS TO HUNT FROM A STATIONARY VEHICLE PROVIDED THE HUNTING IS NOT CONDUCTED ON A DESIGNATED ROAD, IN A PARKING AREA OR CAMPGROUND, AND THE ENGINE IS NOT RUNNING; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) As used in this section, "vehicle" includes private carriers of property as defined in Section 27-19-3, light carriers of property as defined in Section 27-51-101, all-terrain vehicles and motorized wheelchairs.
(2) It is lawful for disabled persons who are in possession of special license plates or tags, or windshield placards issued under Section 27-19-56, to hunt from a stationary vehicle provided the hunting is not conducted on a designated road, in a parking area or campground, and the engine is not running.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2016.
