Senate Bill 2261
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF DESOTO COUNTY TO LOCATE THE OFFICE OF THE SHERIFF OF DESOTO COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, MORE THAN ONE-HALF MILE FROM THE COURTHOUSE OF THE COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 25-1-99, Mississippi Code of 1972, the Board of Supervisors of Desoto County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may locate the office of the Sheriff of DeSoto County more than one-half (1/2) mile from the courthouse of the county.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
