Senate Bill 2252

AN ACT TO ABOLISH THE TORT OF ALIENATION OF AFFECTION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The tort of alienation of affection shall be abolished from and after the effective date of this act.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2022.
