AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO RINEY SPILLER OF WASHINGTON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Riney Spiller of Washington County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction of the crime of manslaughter on April 8, 1993, in Washington County, Mississippi, and who was sentenced to serve four (4) years in the custody of the Department of Corrections. He was paroled on February 2, 1994. Riney Spiller was discharged from the custody of the Department of Corrections and his sentence expired on October 9, 1994. Since that time, he has conducted himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
