Senate Bill 2157

AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT ALL BUILDINGS, FACILITIES OR OTHER CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ERECTED OR CONSTRUCTED FOR STATE AGENCIES SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE BUREAU OF BUILDING, GROUNDS AND REAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Without regard to the source of funding, all buildings, facilities or other construction projects, except for public roads and highways, erected or constructed for state agencies, departments or institutions, when the project is estimated to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), shall be constructed under the supervision of the Bureau of Building, Grounds and Real Property Management, Department of Finance and Administration.  

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
