AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF SUNFLOWER COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE CITIES OF DREW AND RULEVILLE, MISSISSIPPI, TO BE UTILIZED BY SUCH CITIES TO EXTEND THE MUNICIPAL WATER LINES OF SUCH CITIES INTO UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF SUNFLOWER COUNTY ADJACENT TO SUCH CITIES TO PROVIDE WATER SERVICES TO SUCH AREAS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Sunflower County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in it discretion, to contribute an amount not to exceed Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) to the City of Drew, Mississippi, and an amount not to exceed Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) to the City of Ruleville, Mississippi, to be utilized by such cities to extend the municipal water lines of such cities into unincorporated areas of Sunflower County adjacent to such cities to provide water services to such areas.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
