A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE MONTH OF MARCH 2015 AS AMERICAN RED CROSS MONTH COMMENDING THIS ORGANIZATION FOR ITS NOBLE HUMANITARIAN MISSION.
WHEREAS, American Red Cross Month is a special time to recognize and thank our Everyday Heroes - those who reach out to help people in need; and
WHEREAS, the heroes of American Red Cross help disaster victims recover, give blood to help hospital patients, volunteer to brighten the day of an injured service member and step forward to help someone having a heart attack; and
WHEREAS, because of their dedication to care for others, these heroes deserve a month of recognition here in Mississippi to honor those who help people in need and who work tirelessly to assist their neighbors when they need a helping hand; and
WHEREAS, across the country and around the world, the American Red Cross responds to disasters; and
WHEREAS, we dedicate the month of March to all those who support the American Red Cross mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies; and
WHEREAS, the American Red Cross relies on donations of time, money and blood to fulfill its humanitarian mission:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby proclaim March 2015 as American Red Cross Month in the State of Mississippi and commend this organization for its noble humanitarian mission.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be given to the American Red Cross Mississippi and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
