WHEREAS, founded in 1941 by Mr. Joseph E. Staub, JESCO, Inc., was originally named J.E. Staub & Company, beginning with an initial capital investment of less than $1,500.00; and

WHEREAS, despite the company's modest beginning, it now enjoys the status of one of the Southeast's largest industrial construction contractors; and

WHEREAS, J.E. Staub's first major industrial project came in 1959, from Pennsylvania Tire and Rubber Company in Tupelo, Mississippi, a project which firmly established the company as one of the largest industrial construction contractors in Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, in 1973, J.E. Staub changed its name to JESCO, Inc., and today offers an array of construction services throughout the Southeast, including general construction, construction management, design-build, mechanical-electrical, millwright/maintenance and industrial services; and

WHEREAS, with offices in Fulton and Tupelo, Mississippi, along with one office in Montgomery, Alabama, and another in Memphis, Tennessee, JESCO, Inc., employs between 850-1,000 people annually and has consistently proven to provide its many customers high quality, economically feasible and on-time projects, leading to annual sales of approximately 200 million dollars; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives of the State of Mississippi to recognize outstanding contributions to an industry such as JESCO, Inc., over the past 75 years, which has not only provided quality services to its many customers, but has also contributed greatly to industrial contracting in the State of Mississippi and across the Southeast:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate JESCO, Inc., upon the 75th Anniversary of its founding and extend best wishes for continued success in all of their future endeavors.
