A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND HONORING MR. JIMMY CARR OF EATON AEROSPACE FOR HIS OUTSTANDING COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY SERVICE, EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT IN THE CITY OF JACKSON AND THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI.

WHEREAS, Mr. Jimmy Carr, a distinguished leader with Eaton Aerospace, has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to strengthening communities through workforce development, mentorship and educational opportunity; and

WHEREAS, through his leadership and advocacy, Eaton Aerospace has provided valuable internship and career opportunities to students of Jackson State University, helping prepare the next generation of engineers, innovators, and professionals for meaningful careers in advanced manufacturing and aerospace industries; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Carr has worked diligently to build meaningful partnerships between industry and education, ensuring that students are exposed to real-world career pathways while gaining hands-on experience that enhances both their academic and professional development; and

WHEREAS, beyond his corporate leadership, Mr. Carr has demonstrated a deep commitment to the youth of the Jackson Public School District, particularly through his work and engagement with Callaway High School, where he has supported students through mentorship, encouragement, and exposure to career opportunities; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Carr's service extends further through his partnership with 100 Black Men of Jackson, where he has contributed his time, leadership, resources to mentoring young men, supporting initiatives designed to build character, leadership, and academic excellence; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Carr's tireless volunteer efforts and dedication to uplifting young people throughout the community exemplify the spirit of servant leadership and reflect a commitment to creating pathways of opportunity for future generations; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize individuals like Mr. Jimmy Carr whose work strengthens the bond between education, industry, and community while opening doors of opportunity for countless students and families:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and honor Mr. Jimmy Carr of Eaton Aerospace for his exceptional leadership, community service and dedication to creating educational and workforce opportunities for the students of Jackson State University, Callaway High School and the broader Jackson community, and extend best wishes for continued success in all his future endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Mr. Jimmy Carr and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
