House Bill 977
AN ACT TO PROHIBIT THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI MEDICAL CENTER FROM REQUIRING A RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS BEFORE MEDICAL TREATMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for the University of Mississippi Medical Center to require, as a condition of medical treatment, a release of all claims before such medical treatment. Any such requirement is void and unenforceable in any court in this state.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2012.
