House Bill 974
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI TO ENTER INTO INTERLOCAL AGREEMENTS WITH THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF ANY MUNICIPALITY IN ORDER TO CREATE A VEHICLE FOR PROVIDING CERTAIN REIMBURSEMENT FOR POLICE AND FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES THAT ARE OFFERED ON STATE PROPERTIES OR AT STATE EVENTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The State of Mississippi is authorized to enter into interlocal agreements with the governing authorities of any municipality in order to create a vehicle for providing reimbursement for police and fire protection services offered on state properties or at state events.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
