AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE MISSISSIPPI COORDINATOR FOR THE DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY'S 1033 PROGRAM TO TRANSFER ALL PROPERTY ACCOUNTABILITY RECORDS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY; TO REQUIRE THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY TO KEEP AND MAINTAIN RECORDS, AND PLACE ON WEBSITE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. A copy of all property accountability records for transfers made under the Defense Logistics Agency's 1033 Program, as authorized by 10 USC Section 2576(a), made by the State Coordinator for Mississippi in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement entered into between the Defense Logistics Agency and the State of Mississippi, shall be transferred to the Commissioner of Public Safety within sixty (60) days of passage of this act, and within fifteen (15) days after January 31 of every year beginning in 2016, and shall be;
(a) Kept and maintained by the Department of Public Safety; and
(b) Made available on the official Department of Public Safety website.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2015.
