House Bill 748
AN ACT TO REQUIRE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS TO INPUT MISSING PERSON CASES INTO THE NATIONAL MISSING AND UNIDENTIFIED PERSONS SYSTEM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. All law enforcement officers of the State of Mississippi or a political subdivision thereof shall input missing person cases under their jurisdiction into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NAMUS).
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2020.
