House Bill 661

AN ACT TO REQUIRE ANY RECEIPT, INVOICE, BILL OF SALE OR ANY OTHER DOCUMENT THAT EVIDENCES A SALE, LEASE, RENTAL OR OTHER TRANSFER OF A LAWNMOWER IN AN AMOUNT OF MORE THAN $5,000.00 SHALL PROVIDE THE DATE OF MANUFACTURE OF SUCH LAWNMOWER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Any receipt, invoice, bill of sale or any other document that evidences a sale, lease, rental or other transfer of a lawnmower in an amount of more than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) shall provide the date of manufacture of such lawnmower.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2016.
