House Bill 645
AN ACT TO PROHIBIT COMMUNITY COLLEGES FROM PROVIDING ANY ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP TO A STUDENT OR PROSPECTIVE STUDENT WHO IS NOT A MISSISSIPPI RESIDENT WITHIN THE COMMUNITY/JUNIOR COLLEGE DISTRICT WHERE THE COLLEGE IS LOCATED; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. No public community or junior college in the state may provide any athletic scholarship to a student or prospective student who is not a Mississippi resident within the community/junior college district where the college is located.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2015.
