House Bill 63

AN ACT TO PROHIBIT A COURT FROM REQUIRING ANY FORM OF IDENTIFICATION AS A CONDITION TO ENTER THE BUILDING OR ANY AREA OR ROOM IN THE COURT BUILDING; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  A court in this state may not require a person to present identification as a condition for entrance into the court building or for entrance into an area or room inside the court building, except as otherwise is required for purposes of voting or carrying firearms.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2019.
