House Bill 570

AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 37-9-75, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH PROHIBITS STRIKES BY TEACHERS AND PRESCRIBES PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF SUCH PROHIBITION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Section 37-9-75, Mississippi Code of 1972, which prohibits strikes by teachers and prescribes penalties for violations of such prohibition, is repealed.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2023.
