House Bill 509
AN ACT TO PROHIBIT PLEA BARGAINS OR DEALS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other law or court rule to the contrary, no district attorney or assistant district attorney is authorized to offer or accept any plea bargain or deal in any criminal case. All criminal cases shall be prosecuted to the fullest effect.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2015.
