House Bill 271

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE A GRANTOR WHO CONVEYS LAND OR OTHER PROPERTY TO A PERSON FOR LIFE TO REVOKE SUCH CONVEYANCE OF LAND OR OTHER PROPERTY AT ANY TIME BEFORE HIS OR HER DEATH; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  When a person conveys an interest in land or other property to another person for life, the grantor may revoke such conveyance to the grantee at any time during the grantor's lifetime.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2020.
