House Bill 1890
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE HANCOCK COUNTY PORT AND HARBOR COMMISSION TO CONTRIBUTE TO PEARL RIVER COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR TUITION ASSISTANCE FOR HANCOCK COUNTY STUDENTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute annually an amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) out of any available funds of the commission to Pearl River Community College for tuition assistance for students who have resided in Hancock County, Mississippi, for at least two (2) years at the time of their application.
(2) This section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2028.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
