House Bill 1818
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF PEARL, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $750,000 TO TRUSTMARK PARK; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The governing authorities of the City of Pearl, Mississippi, are authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to contribute an amount not to exceed Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00) from available municipal funds to the athletic facility known as Trustmark Park, a Minor League Baseball stadium which is located within the city and which provides economic development and tourism benefits to the city.
(2) This section shall be repealed from and after December 31, 2035.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
