House Bill 1764

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE TOWN OF COMO, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE ANNUALLY TO THE COMO MAIN STREET ALLIANCE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The governing authorities of the Town of Como, Mississippi, is authorized, in their discretion, to contribute an annual amount, out of any available funds, to the Como Main Street Alliance, a 501(c)(3) organization, which is dedicated to the preservation of the town's heritage, architecture and culture.

     (2)  This act shall stand repealed from and after July 1, 2020.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2016.
