AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF RANKIN COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO PROVIDE SERVICES, COMMODITIES AND EQUIPMENT AND TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROVIDE RECREATIONAL AND/OR SPORTS OPPORTUNITIES TO THE YOUTH OF THE COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Board of Supervisors of Rankin County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may provide services, commodities and equipment and may contribute annually, out of any available funds of the county, an amount not to exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) to nonprofit organizations that provide recreational and/or sports opportunities for the purpose of constructing or maintaining recreational and sports facilities.
(2) The provisions of this section shall be repealed on December 31, 2026.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
