AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO ANTHONY LEROY WALLACE OF HARRISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Anthony Leroy Wallace of Harrison County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector when he was sentenced on August 9, 1999, as a result of his conviction for the crime of robbery in Harrison County, Mississippi, for which he was sentenced to four (4) years probation.  His probation was revoked on June 10, 2002, and he was sentenced to serve a term of ten (10) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.  On July 2, 2002, he was convicted on two (2) counts of felony DUI for a term of one (1) year for each count to run consecutively. 

     He was released on November 15, 2007, and discharged on July 7, 2009.  The Legislature is informed that he has since conducted himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
