House Bill 1651

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MARSHALL COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE ANNUALLY TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN THE COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Marshall County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute, for the benefit of the citizens of the county, from any available funds an amount not to exceed Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00)annually to qualified charitable organizations having a valid and current 501(c)(3) designation.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
