AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE NORTH CENTRAL MISSISSPPI REGIONAL RAILROAD AUTHORITY TO ENTER INTO A CERTAIN LEASE-PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND TO TRANSFER TITLE TO ASSETS OF THE AUTHORITY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the North Central Mississippi Regional Railroad Authority is authorized to enter into a lease-purchase agreement or otherwise, transfer title to any portion or all of the assets of the authority, upon a determination by the directors that the terms of such lease/purchase or sale will foster the development and improvement of the industrial, economic, social, commercial, civic, cultural and moral development of the state and local communities served by the authority.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
