House Bill 1613

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY GIRLS STATE PROGRAM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The governing authorities of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to contribute annually from its general funds an amount not to exceed Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) to the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State program, which brings young women together to participate in a week long intensive learning experience focused on the leadership, patriotism and community enlightenment by teaching roles in government, leadership  development and American heritage.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
