AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LOWNDES COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE UNITED WAY OF LOWNDES COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The Board of Supervisors of Lowndes County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute annually an amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($125,000.00), out of any available funds, to the United Way of Lowndes County, for the purpose of assisting in the funding of charitable programs.

     (2)  This section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2021.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
