House Bill 1465

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO READ BY THIRD GRADE TUTORIAL PROGRAM, WHICH ASSISTS AT RISK STUDENTS WITH THEIR READING SKILLS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to contribute annually from its general funds an amount not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) to Read by Third Grade Tutorial Program, which assists at risk students with their reading skills.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
