House Bill 1422

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF COPIAH COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO MAKE A CONTRIBUTION IN FUNDS OR SERVICES TO CALLING PANTHER HERITAGE FOUNDATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Copiah County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute annually during calendar years 2015 and 2016, out of any available funds, in money or services in an amount not to exceed Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) to Calling Panther Heritage Foundation, a nonprofit, charitable organization organized to preserve and promote the history and culture of the county by preserving its historic sites and buildings, promoting its culture and educating the community on the value of history and heritage.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
