AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF COAHOMA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO TRI-COUNTY WORKFORCE ALLIANCE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The Board of Supervisors of Coahoma County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute annually to Tri-County Workforce Alliance, Inc., a Mississippi nonprofit corporation, an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), out of any available funds of the county, as such funds are available.

     (2)  The contribution authorized under subsection (1) of this section may occur if Tri-County Workforce Alliance maintains its status as a Mississippi nonprofit corporation and as a 501(c)(3) organization under the laws, rules and regulations of the Internal Revenue Service and has filed federal and state tax returns, as required by such laws, in a timely fashion and has provided to the board of supervisors proof of such timely filing of such returns. 

     (3)  This section shall be repealed from and after September 30, 2021.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
