House Bill 1290

AN ACT TO LIMIT THE RECOVERY OF MEDICAL EXPENSES TO THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID OR INCURRED BY A CLAIMANT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. In addition to any other limitation under law, recovery of medical or health care expenses incurred is limited to the amount actually paid or incurred by or on behalf of the claimant.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2011.
