AN ACT TO REQUIRE AN INSURER TO PROVIDE THE LAST KNOWN ADDRESS OF AN INSURED IN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS INVOLVING THE INSURED; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. In order to promote judicial efficiency, an insurer shall provide the last known address of an insured party in any legal proceeding involving the insured. The insurer shall incur no liability for disclosing the last known address of an insured under the provisions of this section.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2011.
