House Bill 1230
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE ANY PHYSICIAN LICENSED IN MISSISSIPPI WHO PRACTICES OR OFFERS TELEMERGENCY MEDICINE TO FUNCTION IN A COLLABORATIVE/CONSULTATIVE RELATIONSHIP WITH A NURSE PRACTITIONER OR OTHER ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Any physician licensed to practice in Mississippi who practices or offers telemergency medicine is authorized to function in a collaborative/consultative relationship with a nurse practitioner or other advanced practice registered nurse who is licensed to practice in Mississippi and certified by the Mississippi Board of Nursing as an advanced practice registered nurse.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
