House Bill 115

AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE LEGISLATURE TO APPROPRIATE SUFFICIENT FUNDS IN EACH REGULAR LEGISLATIVE SESSION HELD IN 2022 AND 2023 TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES OF A HIGHWAY PATROL TROOPER TRAINING CLASS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  During each regular legislative session held in calendar years 2022 and 2023, the Legislature shall appropriate to the Department of Public Safety, Division of Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol, sufficient funds to defray the expenses of a sixty-member Highway Patrol trooper training class to be conducted at the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Training Academy.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
