AMENDMENT NO 1 TO COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

 

House Bill No.  827

     AMEND by striking lines 214 through 221 and substituting in lieu thereof the following:

     49-15-305.  (1) * * *The commission shall submit three (3) nominees for the position of executive director to the Governor.  The Governor shall appoint the Executive Director * * * from the list of nominees of the Department of Marine Resources, with the advice and consent of the Senate * * *  The commission may remove the executive director from office for good cause., who shall serve at the will and pleasure of the Governor.  The executive director shall be knowledgeable and experienced in marine resources management.
