AMENDMENT NO 1 TO COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

 

House Bill No.  645

 

BY: Senator(s) Turner-Ford

 

     AMEND on line 89 by inserting the following and renumbering subsequent sections:

     SECTION *  Nothing in Sections 99-19-301 through 99-19-307 shall abridge freedom of speech or the freedom to peaceably assemble as protected in Article III, SECTIONS 11 and 13 of the Mississippi Constitution of 1890 and the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.

     FURTHER AMEND the title on line 5 by inserting after the semicolon thereon the following:

     TO PROTECT FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND THE FREEDOM TO PEACEABLY ASSEMBLE;
