AMENDMENT NO 1 TO COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

 

House Bill No. 1776

 

BY: Senator(s) Hill

 

     AMEND by inserting the following new section after line 205 and renumbering subsequent sections accordingly:

     SECTION 18.  None of the funds herein appropriated to the Mississippi Department of Archives and History shall be expended by the department unless and until the historic statue of the late Governor Theodore Gilmore Bilbo, which is presently in a location under the jurisdiction of the department, is permanently placed as a point of historical reference for public viewing in the newly constructed Museum of Mississippi History, or alternatively in the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum.
