AN ACT

To amend chapter 160, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to classroom placement of children.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 160, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 160.072, to read as follows:

            160.072. 1. Twins or higher order multiples from the same family shall be placed together in the same classroom if the children's parent or legal guardian requests such placement. Such request shall be made no later than fourteen days after the first day of each school year or fourteen days after the first day of attendance of the children during a school year if the children are enrolled in the school after the school year commences.

            2. For purposes of this section, "higher order multiples" means triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets, or more.
